walking timidly into the officer’s club my focus suddenly shifted from the eyes on me to the topless bartender whose long black hair waved me over. as i ordered i caught a glimpse of the equineness of her lower half behind the bar but this did not detract me; i asked her to come w/ me to the races that weekend & when we went she surprised me by jumping onto the track to take 1st place in the final race—i knew then that this would be my only one for as long as i lived—not even a god would come between us. when apollo came down to try to prove me wrong i dropped him w/ a single shot [a luckshot no doubt but i tell everyone love had made my aim] it’s an incredible thing—to kill a god—& i’d recommend it to anyone; now when i go to see her at work eyes gyrate as corporals & generals become gelatinous mildew, holy men shudder, machine guns weep
