submission guidelines

We are currently taking submissions for the next issue of Other Rooms online. We want poetry that's aware of its own language, whose signifiers pop off the tracks. We're partial to poems that are made in play, of words at play--"when the spirit of play dies there is only murder" (Alexander Trocchi). Play is sometimes a serious business, humor too--jokes may be the ultimate poems. Send us both the trivial and the significant made fresh and made flesh; send us poems that don't know the difference. "Formal" and "experimental" distinctions are the least of our worries; we have no restrictions regarding style, form, content or length. Surprise us.

Send 3 - 5 poems attached as a single MS Word document to otherroomspress@gmail.com.

Simultaneous submissions are ok, but please inform us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.

Chapbook submissions are by invitation only.
