Terry Edmonds is a
New York poet who developed a love for language and poetry as a young boy
growing up in the projects of Baltimore.
Since the 1980s, he has been an active member of the poetry community in
both cities. His first two chapbooks, Thank
God for the Lowlife and To Hear This Message Again Press Ten, were published
by Baltimore’s Apathy Press in 1989 and 90, respectively. His latest book, Question Marks, was
published in 2023 by Dark Light Publishing.
His writing passion led to a more than 45-year career as a public
relations specialist and executive speechwriter, including serving as chief
speechwriter for President Bill Clinton.
For more than 10 years, he has been an active member of New York’s
Riverside Poets workshop, and his poems have appeared in the group’s annual
anthology. He lives in New York’s Upper
West Side with his partner, Wendy Levine.
