Sarah Sarai
Sarah Sarai is the author of the collections Bright-Eyed, That Strapless Bra in Heaven, Geographies of Soul and Taffeta, and The Future is Happy. Her poems are in journals including Barrow Street, Sinister Wisdom, The Southampton Review, Boston Review, and Mom Egg. Her poem “Emily Dickinson Is Jewish" was presented at “Witnessing Responses: A New Generation's Perspectives on the Holocaust” at Károli Gáspár University, Budapest; “Promises Had Been Made” won the PersonalLordSaviorJesusChrist (sic) poetry competition, judged by Helen Losse. “California Holding” won Honorable Mention in the Zocalo Public Square poetry of place competition. She likes the sky, trees, and birds. Cornelius Eady set her poem “In My Brain Tonight” (New York Quarterly) to music, available as “My Brain Tonight” on Soundcloud.
