TRUMP’S INAUGURAL ADDRESS, AS HEARD BY TRUMP
Chief
Justice Trump, President Trump, President Trump, President Trump, President Trump,
Trump, and Trump: Thank Trump.
We, the
citizens of Trump Land, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild
our Trump and to restore its promise for Trump.
Trump will
determine the course of Trump Land and Trump World for years to come.
Trump will
face challenges. Trump will confront hardships. But Trump will get the job
done.
Every four
years, we gather on these steps to carry out the orderly and peaceful transfer
of power, and Trump is grateful to President Trump and First Lady Trump for Trump’s
gracious aid throughout this transition. Trump has been magnificent.
Today's
ceremony, however, has very special meaning. Because today we are not merely
transferring power from one administration to another, or from one party to
another -- but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C. and giving it to
Trump.
For too
long, a small group in our nation's Capital has reaped the rewards of
government while Trump has borne the cost. Washington flourished -- but Trump
did not share in enough of its wealth. Trump prospered -- but not enough.
The
establishment protected itself, but not Trump. Their victories have sometimes not
been Trump’s victories; their triumphs occasionally have not been Trump’s
triumphs; and while they celebrated in our nation's capital, there was not
quite as much as Trump would like to celebrate for Trump.
That all
changes -- starting right here, and right now, because this moment is Trump’s
moment: it belongs to Trump.
It belongs
to Trump. This is Trump Day. This is Trump’s celebration. And this, the United
States of Trump, is Trump’s.
What truly
matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government
is controlled by Trump. January 20th 2017, will be remembered as the day Trump
became the ruler of this nation. Trump will never be forgotten again.
Everyone
is listening to Trump now.
You came
by the tens of millions to become part of a historic movement the likes of
which Trump World has never seen before. At the center of this movement is a
crucial conviction: that the nation exists to serve Trump.
Trump wants
great schools for Trump’s children, safe neighborhoods for Trump’s family, and more
of everything for Trump. These are the just and reasonable demands of a
righteous Trump.
But for
too many of our citizens, a different reality exists: Mothers and children
trapped in poverty in our inner cities; rusted-out factories scattered like
tombstones across the landscape of our nation; an education system flush with
cash, but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of knowledge;
and the crime and gangs and drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed
our people of so much unrealized potential.
This
carnage continues right here and gets much worse right now.
They are
one nation -- and their pain is not Trump’s pain. Their dreams are not Trump’s dreams;
and Trump’s success will not be their success. They share one heart and one
home; Trump has a glorious destiny.
The oath
of office Trump takes today is an oath of allegiance to Trump.
For many decades,
we've enriched Trump at the expense of industry; subsidized Trump while allowing
for the very sad depletion of our military; we've defended Trump while refusing
to defend Trump’s borders; and spent trillions of dollars overseas while Trump’s
infrastructure has not grown as much as Trump would like.
We've made
Trump rich while the wealth, strength, and confidence of our country has
disappeared over the horizon.
Trump by Trump,
the Trumps Trumped and Trumped our Trumps, with not even a thought about the
millions upon millions Trump could have made.
The wealth
of our Trump has been Trumped from Trump’s Trump and then redistributed across
the entire Trump World.
But that
is the past. And now Trump is looking only to the future. Trump is issuing a
new decree to be heard in every city, in every foreign capital, and in every
hall of Trump.
From this
day forward, Trump will govern our land.
From this
moment on, it's going to be Trump First.
Every
decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign affairs, will be made
to benefit Trump and Trump’s family. We must protect Trump’s borders from the
ravages of other countries making Trump’s products, stealing Trump’s companies,
and destroying Trump. Protection will lead to great prosperity and strength for
Trump.
Trump will
