Each line is figured as taking the same time
The poems are persons who care about this
silhouette of gestural cadence caught on paper.
Cadenzas repeatedly awash:
Are the ghosts of the poem ghosts or poems?
The dead are very patients
And if we let ourselves they make us more. Piquant
and, to take care of each ghost that has gone
the way of the waterbed,
a fluid chamber. Because we are trying for fluent,
longing for what is gone
from figures made of elephants in the room
locked into the ocular attics of memory.
Lonesomeness perhaps; it's a long story
when a story begins and ends at the same time
