THE ESSENTIALS OF HYPOTHERMIA

"I'm going out for two packs of cigarettes.
What flavor do you want?"
These are the sorts of things
that people say all the time.
But not me! I would much rather
be heard to say something like:
"I'm going out for the letter Z,"
or "Bowling balls! Give me bowling balls!"
I want to talk like the people
in books only wish they could talk.
These are the people who take their
clothes off in front of strangers,
and shout about "Now is the time,"
or "This is the time,"
or "The time has come,"
when what they really want to say is:
"Why don't you bring me that cigarette?"
